Terms of Use

Effective 11 July 2026 · Play nice

The plain-English summary. Arrrgue is a free party game for fun. Be decent to the people you're playing with, don't type anything illegal or hateful into it, and understand it's provided "as is" with no guarantees. Arrrgue’s verdicts are binding forever — or until the rematch — but legally binding they are not.

1. Acceptance

By using Arrrgue (the "Service") you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. What Arrrgue is

Arrrgue is a real-time social game in which a group ranks subjects through various game modes. It's free to play, and operated by Hedgehog Interactive LLC ("we", "us"). There are no accounts required, no prizes, and no real stakes — the "rulings" are entertainment, not statements of fact. Questions: contact@hedgehoginteractive.com.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

As a host, you're responsible for the category and items you put in front of your room. We may remove content or block access to keep the Service safe and available.

4. User-generated content

You keep whatever rights you have in the names, categories, and list items you enter. Because the game is live and in-memory, that content is shown to others in your room and then discarded when the room closes. You grant us permission to display and process it for the purpose of running the game. You're solely responsible for what you type.

5. Availability and changes

The Service is provided free and "as available." Games run on a single server and hold state in memory, so sessions can end if the server restarts or your connection drops (you can usually rejoin and reclaim your seat). We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.

6. Advertising and optional sign-in

Arrrgue is supported by advertising. When enabled, ads (served by Google AdSense) appear only on the landing and results screens and the occasional between-games break — never during a game phase. An optional Google sign-in lets you keep a private log of your verdicts. Both are described in the Privacy Policy, including your advertising consent and opt-out choices.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the Service. Because Arrrgue is free, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to zero dollars (US$0).

9. Indemnity

You agree to hold us harmless from claims arising out of your content or your misuse of the Service, to the extent permitted by law.

10. Governing law and changes to these Terms

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service is operated, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. We may update these Terms; continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

This page is provided for transparency and is not legal advice. Have it reviewed by counsel before public launch, and set the governing jurisdiction.
